International Maritime Hall Honors Leaders
[ May 28, 2026 // Gary Burrows ]Nearly 500 maritime and transportation industry executives gathered Wednesday evening at Chelsea Piers for the 32nd International Maritime Hall of Fame Awards hosted by the Maritime Association of the Port of New York and New Jersey.
The annual event recognized four maritime leaders for their contributions to the global shipping and transportation sectors, including leadership, operational excellence and innovation across the supply chain.
This year’s honorees included Robert P. Burke, CEO of Ridgebury Tankers; James A. McNamara, chief of staff and director of public relations for the International Longshoremen’s Association; Capt. John W. Murray, CEO of Port Canaveral; and Ted Tregurtha, president and CEO of Moran Holdings.
The International Maritime Hall of Fame Awards are considered among the maritime industry’s longstanding recognition events, drawing senior executives, port officials, labor representatives and transportation leaders from across the United States and international shipping markets.
