CEVA Adds Fagioli to Boost North America Reach

[ May 19, 2026   //   ]

Freight specialist CEVA Logistics has completed its acquisition of heavy-lift, specialized haulage group Fagioli Group, as part of its strategy to expand end-to-end project cargo capabilities across North America.

The deal, finalized on March 31, follows regulatory approvals and positions CEVA as a dominant force in the design, engineering, and execution of large-scale industrial and infrastructure logistics.

“It is a key milestone for CEVA that will strengthen our position in this market, offering end-to-end Project Logistics solutions, from the design phase to freight forwarding engineering capabilities. And in the end, the difference is made by the well-known quality of Fagioli teams,” said Vincent Lavaux, CHRO at CEVA Logistics.

Fagioli Group is renowned for its expertise in heavy lifting, hoisting, and engineered transport solutions, and brings about 450 skilled employees as well as a vast fleet of owned and leased assets to CEVA’s global network.

The acquisition bolsters CEVA’s ability to deliver comprehensive project logistics, from initial design and forwarding to heavy transport, complex delivery, and on-site installation. The firm currently has almost 100 offices across the US, with a strong presence in Canada and Mexico as well.

Maura Povoleri, global commercial manager at CEVA, also hailed the deal as “an important milestone”, calling it a “strategic move that further strengthens our global position in complex, high-value logistics solutions… perfectly complementing CEVA’s portfolio and expanding our ability to deliver even more comprehensive solutions to our clients.”

Energy logistics

Fagioli’s Houston-based operations have been instrumental in high-profile projects, including the handling and installation of process modules for a major gas liquefaction plant in Louisiana and the world-record transport of a 23,000-ton offshore wind turbine installation vessel. These achievements highlight Fagioli’s expertise in managing some of the most complex and technically demanding breakbulk operations in the energy sector, making it a natural fit for CEVA’s ambitions in North America’s booming industrial and infrastructure markets.

The acquisition builds on a series of strategic expansions by CEVA in recent years, that have seen the group steadily expand its global project logistics footprint. In 2024, the firm integrated Bolloré Logistics, adding air, ocean, and project logistics capabilities, particularly in Africa. This followed the acquisition of Spedag Interfreight in 2022, which strengthened its heavy-lift and specialized transport offerings in East Africa. In 2025, CEVA further reinforced its global network with the purchase of Borusan Tedarik, a leading Turkish logistics provider, nearly doubling its warehousing capacity and enhancing its automotive and industrial logistics services.

The formation of CEVA Almajdouie Logistics in Saudi Arabia, a joint venture established in 2024, also underscores a focus on end-to-end solutions for mega-projects in energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing.

A subsidiary of CMA CGM Group since 2019, CEVA Logistics has over 110,000 employees across 1,700 facilities in 170 countries. The addition of Fagioli’s specialized capabilities is expected to drive further growth in the US booming energy sector.
