World Trade Bridge at Laredo, Texas Back Open

[ June 2, 2017   //   ]

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has reopened the World Trade Bridge at Laredo, Texas. The bridge was closed previously due to damage from heavy rains and high winds.

Full operations were restored Monday, May 29, on the World Trade Bridge between Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and Laredo, Texas, but it may be several weeks before everything is completely back to normal.

Previously, all north and southbound truck traffic was being diverted to the Colombia Solidarity Bridge, where CBP reassigned staffing to handle the additional volume of traffic. However, cargo traffic is now allowed back on the World Trade Bridge and regular operations have resumed.
