Transpacific Air Travel On The Rebound

[ June 18, 2022   //   ]

The volume of passengers crossing the Pacific is increasing every day, according to Korean Air, the largest Asian airline in America.
“We’re seeing a significant increase in passengers as borders open,” says John Jackson, Korean Air’s VP of sales and marketing. “We’re increasing capacity to meet demand by using larger aircraft on the more popular routes.”
Korean Air will be introducing A380 flights from New York and 747-8i from Los Angeles in July. In addition, the airline has increased frequency from major U.S. gateways, of which Korean Air has 11.
“We’ve reopened all of our North American gateways, including Las Vegas, where we’re the only Asian carrier,” Jackson added. “The airline is uniquely positioned in a number of American markets and we’re looking forward to increased sales.”
