Tim Campbell Joins PASSUR as EVP of Innovation and Customer Advocacy

[ August 22, 2017   //   ]

PASSUR Aerospace, Inc.  a business intelligence, predictive analytics, and big data company, announced today that Tim Campbell has joined the Company as Executive Vice President of Innovation and Customer Advocacy.

PASSUR is committed to developing enhancements to the air traffic management system which will increase the efficiency and capacity of the airspace, needed to meet future increases in demand. A cornerstone of this effort is to ensure that the system can be and will be used collaboratively by all airlines and airports, as well as the FAA.

PASSUR capabilities are used today by all top five US airlines and at all the top 30 US airports. We believe PASSUR is the industry leader in providing real time, predictive digital air traffic solutions for aviation.

Tim’s insight and leadership will help PASSUR further increase customer value and increase effective collaboration. He will lead PASSUR’s networked collaborative programs in major metropolitan areas, especially those where demand is growing and capacity is constrained or bottlenecked.

PASSUR is the innovator and leader of collaborative, networked systems that deliver greater value when all customers are working together on a common platform, database, and protocol. PASSUR has deployed several networked/collaborative programs – including the recently announced program at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Tim will be the lead customer advocate for the major products and programs being developed at PASSUR, ensuring that significant measurable value is received by all customers.

PASSUR’s recently announced partnership with GE to advance airline and airport operations by integrating multiple data sources with the industrial internet is an example of such a program.

Tim will also direct PASSUR’s programs related to NextGen and ATC reform, to help the industry and the traveling public realize the full potential of NextGen, and to ensure PASSUR and its customers are prepared for future ATC reform programs. Tim recently completed a two-year term as co-chair of the Sub-Committee of the NextGen Advisory Committee (NACSC) – an advisory committee commissioned by the FAA that is comprised of senior leaders throughout the aviation industry. Tim helped to bring analytical rigor to the collaboration among the broad group of industry stakeholders, experience which will prove valuable in his new role at PASSUR.

Tim was most recently Senior Vice President, Air Operations for American Airlines Group. Tim led the effort to combine American’s Integrated Operations Control (IOC) and US Airways Operations Control Center (OCC). The integration work also included flight and inflight teams, crew resources, operations planning and performance engineering functions.  Over his 30 years in the aviation industry, Tim has acquired a diverse set of skills and experience, both in the airline and aerospace manufacturing spaces. Before joining American, he was Founder and President of Mountain Vista Consulting, LLC. Prior to founding the company, Tim was president of Compass Airlines, a wholly-owned regional airline for Northwest Airlines and later Delta Air Lines.
