[ July 11, 2017   //   ]

Preferred Freezer Services (PFS), a global leader in advanced design and engineered temperature-controlled warehouses, is further expanding its cold storage facilities in the New York / New Jersey Port with their newest facility in Kearny, NJ.

The cold storage warehouse, set to open in the summer of 2018, will add 197,000 sq. ft. of freezer space to support the growing needs of their customers in this area.

The Kearny cold storage warehouse will be the company’s ninth in the greater New

Jersey/New York area and their thirty-eighth in the United States following the opening of Houston Gulf Coast and Chicago 3 next quarter. Preferred Freezer Services’ new facility, to be named New Jersey #9, will be conveniently located off Interstate 280 and Interstate 95 near exit 15W nestled between the Newark Turnpike and Bergen Avenue.

New Jersey #9 will have a storage capacity of more than 30,000 pallets, stand 58 feet high, offer 24 dock doors, and reside minutes from the largest port complex on the East Coast.

“Recognizing the need for more frozen storage capacity in the New York/New Jersey

metropolitan area, we are delighted to announce our newest cold storage facility. It is

through our consistent culture of “customer first” attitude that PFS continues to secure

existing client partners as well as attracting new prospects.” said Brian Beattie, President of Preferred Freezer Services.
