Maersk Starts 2026 with Leadership Shuffle
[ January 8, 2026 // Gary Burrows ]Danish shipping behemoth A.P. Moller – Maersk (Maersk) said it has made changes to its regional leadership.
“The past years, our regions have executed strongly against our strategic priorities, driving growth, increasing customer-centricity and integrating acquired companies,” said Vincent Clerc, CEO at Maersk. This effort created the solid foundation that gave Maersk the confidence to reconfigure its regional leadership, he said.
The regional leadership includes:
• Ditlev Blicher to regional president for North America. He joined Maersk in 2020 led the Asia-Pacific region as CFO Asia-Pacific.
• Scott Andrew Elliott to interim regional president Asia-Pacific. He also joined Maersk in 2020.
• Charles Van Der Steene to regional managing director for India subcontinent, Middle East and Africa. He joined Maersk in 2011 and has been Regional President for North America.
• Richard Morgan, current head of India subcontinent, Middle East and Africa Region, will leave the company. He joined Maersk in 2003, serving in commercial leadership roles before moving to regional leadership in 2019.
• Guillaume Sauzedde to regional managing director for Europe. He joined Maersk in in 2024 as head of logistics and services in Europe.
• Current head of Europe, Aymeric Chandavoine, will leave the company. He joined Maersk in 2020, serving as global head of logistics and services before leading the Europe Region in 2023.
• Antonio Dominguez continues as regional managing director for Latin America.
