IndiGo Airlines Rolls Out SmartKargo Cloud Solution for Cargo Business Operations

The comprehensive SmartKargo solution was deployed across all functional areas of IndiGo’s Cargo Business across all global locations and all functional areas of Commercial, Operations and Accounting,”
As India’s largest airline, Indigo operates a fleet size of 184 aircraft including 46 new generation A320 NEOs, 127 A320 CEOs and 11 ATRs, across 57 destinations – 48 domestic and 9 international.
The new SmartKargo end-to-end platform has allowed IndiGo to digitally transform its Cargo business and successfully meet the future with robust mobile applications and advanced technologies such as real-time information, business intelligence and machine-learning capabilities–while seamlessly interfacing with the Airline’s other systems via APIs for fast deployment and integration.
Integrated Cargo Revenue accounting allows for real-time profitability analysis and real-time decision making. These tools are easy-to-use and are accessible from any device with an Internet or mobile network carrier connection.
Enhanced capabilities include 100% paperless e-AWBs; ease of booking; modern and flexible technology; single screen data entries; user-configurable Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting; powerful pricing and rate making; real-time capacity management–in addition to extensive use of Mobile technology from day one. This means that IndiGo Cargo will be able to deliver fast, highly reliable and highly predictable shipments to support the growth of their Cargo business as well as highly-improved client experience.

SmartKargo is a 100% cloud-based Cargo Management platform that offers a robust set of fully integrated tools and solutions to support all areas of the Air Cargo business from Planning, Pricing and Sales, to Operations including acceptance, warehouse management, loading/un-loading and ramp operations. The SaaS application enables Cargo service providers such as IndiGo to quickly implement advanced technology, including first-mile pick-up and last-mile delivery (for door-to-door operations), enabling e-commerce.
