“We are proud to be awarded IATA’s prestigious ISAGO Registration for our Toronto operations,” said Antonio Alvarez, Chief Executive Officer of GTA dnata. “We are committed to engaging our colleagues at all levels of the organisation and consistently invest in training, process improvement and technology to ensure the highest level of safety across our operations. GTA dnata provides ramp, passenger and cargo handling services to 17 airlines in Toronto. The company’s customer-oriented team assisted 1.2 million passengers and moved over 90,000 tons of cargo in 2019. GTA dnata will further expand its footprint in Canada by launching operations at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in early 2021.
dnata entered the Canadian aviation market by establishing GTA dnata through the acquisition of a 50% stake in GTA Aviation’s cargo and ground handling operations at YYZ in 2016. Since January 2020, dnata also offers quality catering services at Vancouver International Airport. The company’s new, state-of-the-art catering facility represents a multi-million-dollar investment and has a capacity of up to 8,000 inflight meals a day.
ISAGO is an audit program for ground-handling companies serving airlines at airports covering the areas of organization and management, load control, passenger and baggage handling, aircraft handling and loading and aircraft ground movement.
