DHL Group Launches GoGreen Plus Portfolio

[ February 25, 2026   //   ]

DHL Global Forwarding has launched a new three-tier GoGreen Plus portfolio, including what it described as an industry-first base product that delivers a default 10 percent emissions reduction on eligible shipments at a fixed flat rate.

The Bonn-based freight forwarder said the new GoGreen Plus Base option applies a standard 10 percent reduction through a book-and-claim model and is offered on an opt-out basis, allowing customers to receive verified emissions reductions without charges beyond the fixed fee.

The updated portfolio includes three options:

• GoGreen Plus Base: Default 10 percent emissions reduction through book-and-claim, fixed flat rate, opt-out model.

• GoGreen Plus Premium: Up to 85 percent emissions reduction through book-and-claim, priced at the lane level.

• GoGreen Plus Select: Tailored decarbonization solutions with flexible reduction levels for large customers, customized to individual supply chains.

Kathrin Brost, vice president and global head of the GoGreen program at DHL Global Forwarding, said the base product is designed to lower barriers to entry for small and midsize shippers.

“You do not need to invest millions to make a difference. Any business can start small, with just a few extra euros per shipment and without additional effort,” Brost said. “This is a major step forward toward enabling more sustainable supply chains at scale.”

All three products rely on a book-and-claim mechanism, under which DHL replaces fossil fuels with sustainable fuels within its transport network and allocates the environmental benefits to participating customers, even if their individual shipments are not physically moved using those fuels.

Amanda Rasmussen, chief commercial officer at DHL Global Forwarding, said customer demand for verified lower-emission transport services continues to grow. “We are proud to introduce solutions that change what customers can expect from emission-reduced logistics,” Rasmussen said.

The expanded GoGreen Plus portfolio aligns with parent company DHL Group’s sustainability targets, which include achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and reaching 30 percent sustainable fuel use by 2030.

DHL said the new offering is intended to accelerate adoption of lower-emission freight services by making decarbonization options more accessible and scalable across global supply chains.
