Convoy Launches to Transform Trucking with $2.5M Backing from Tech Leaders

Captains of industry and top investors fund Seattle startup to reinvent commercial trucking
Convoy, a Seattle startup that is reinventing the $800 billion trucking business, today officially launched its on-demand service for regional and local trucking and announced $2.5 million in seed funding from top investors. Convoy makes it easy for shippers to connect with nearby trucking companies, creating efficiencies and helping them book and track jobs instantly.
Convoy’s investors include Jeff Bezos via Bezos Expeditions, Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff, eBay founder Pierre Omidyar via Omidyar Technology Ventures, KKR CEO Henry Kravis, Code.org founders Hadi and Ali Partovi, Expedia CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, Dropbox CEO Drew Houston, former Starbucks President Howard Behar, Allen & Company, Fuel Capital, Nicolas Berggruen, Adrian Aoun, Charlie Songhurst, Grant Ries, Noosheen Hashemi, Hooman Radfar, and Michael Dougherty.
