CMA CGM Updates Rates for Europe-Med to U.S.

CMA CGM said it will implement its Rate Restoration Initiative 2 (RRI02) for cargo from North Europe and Mediterranean ports of load to U.S. East, Gulf and West coasts ports of discharge and all inland destinations, effective Jan. 21.

Unless otherwise specified, the RRI02 will apply to tariff or service contract rates for all cargo moving under the scope of this tariff.

From/via: All ports of load in North Europe including North France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, Baltic, Portugal, Spain (Bilbao, Vigo, Gijon) and all Mediterranean ports including Malta, France (Fos/Marseilles), Italy, Spain (Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, Sagunto), Adriatic, Black Sea, North Africa, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Morocco excluding Egypt.

To: U.S. East, Gulf and West coasts, Canada and Mexico ports, and all inland destinations reached via said ports, the charges are:

• US$500 per 20 foot.

• US$1,000 per 40-foot, 40-foot high cube, 40-foot reefer (all types).

• US$1,000 per 45 foot ( all types).

All applicable rates, surcharges, and rules, including, where applicable, mandatory pricing elements under EU commitments can be located in the applicable Governing Tariffs, CMA CGM said.
