CMA CGM Rate Restoration for Europe, Med

CMA CGM said it is implementing a rate restoration initiative for cargo from North European and Mediterranean ports to the U.S., Canada and Mexico, effective May 1.
Rate Restoration Initiative 4 (RRI04) will be enforced on tariff or service contract rates for all cargo moving under the scope of this tariff:.
The rate adjustments are:

  • US$200 per 20-foot container (dry and refrigerated).
  • US$400 per 40-foot/40-foot high cube and 45-foot dry and reefer containers.
  • Out-of-gauge containers are excluded from the rate adjustment
    North Europe includes North France, UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, Baltic countries and selected ports in North Spain (Bilbao, Gijon).
    Mediterranean ports include Malta, Italy, Spain (Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, Sagunto), ports in the Adriatic, North Africa and Morocco excluding Egypt.
    Destinations include ports along the U.S. East and Gulf coasts, Canada and Mexico as well as all inland destinations reached via said ports.
    Bunker-related surcharges, THC (origin and destination) and safety and security-related surcharges may also apply and are accessible at http://www.cma-cgm.com/ebusiness/tariffs/charge-finder. Other charges such as contingency charges and local charges may be applicable.
