CMA CGM Adds Itajaí, Drops Itaguaí from Sirius

[ May 11, 2026   //   ]

CMA CGM will revise its SIRIUS service linking the Mediterranean with the East Coast of South America, adding a new call at Brazil’s Itajaí port while removing Itaguaí from the rotation.

The change is part of the carrier’s effort to optimize service coverage and improve network efficiency across the trade lane.

The last sailing to call Itaguaí will be the Lisa Marie, departing Tanger Med on May 23 and arriving June 13. The first vessel to call Itajaí will be the Santa Ines, departing May 29 with an expected arrival on June 16.

Under the revised rotation, the service will call Tanger Med (northbound), Algeciras, Tanger Med (southbound), Salvador, Santos (southbound), Itapoá, Itajaí, Paranaguá, Santos (northbound), before returning to Tanger Med and Algeciras.

CMA CGM said the update will result in minor schedule adjustments, with berth windows shifting by one day at Paranaguá and northbound Santos calls. Arrival timing at Tanger Med will remain unchanged.

The move reflects ongoing adjustments by carriers to port coverage and scheduling as they respond to shifting cargo flows and operational requirements across key north-south trades.
