Havertys expands regional distribution center

Port partner Havertys Furniture recently opened a newly expanded 300 thousand sq. ft. distribution center in Lakeland, Fla. More products will be shipped through JAXPORT to serve Havertys’ 25 stores in the growing Florida market. The company says it is able to reduce incoming freight costs, particularly from Asia, as well as deliver goods to the market faster by bringing more of the import and distribution operations in-state.
