B&H Worldwide Opens Climate Controlled Facility in Sydney

[ May 31, 2016   //   ]

Specialist logistics provider B&H Worldwide has opened a new climate controlled storage facility to support its aviation customers with specific service requirements at Sydney airport in Australia.
B&H currently provides a suite of specialist logistics services to aviation customers, including airside collection and delivery, unserviceable parts processing and repair management as well as brakes and wheels management and aviation tyres storage and distribution.  Following consultations with customers and their vendors the new purpose-built facility which features temperature, humidity and contaminant control capabilities was created within B&H’s existing premises.

“Having access to climate controlled storage so close to the airport is becoming an increasingly important feature for many of our customers”, states Regional Director Steve Moralee.  “We are now able to provide the reassurance that their climate sensitive components will retain their quality and integrity and can be called upon for urgent delivery without the time and cost impositions previously experienced.

The new facility, which has built-in, expansion capabilities can cater for storing a variety of aviation related shipments from gels and adhesives through to avionics components.

“Our new climate controlled capabilities in Sydney are a natural expansion of the specialist aviation and aerospace services we have built our reputation on”.
With only highly trained individuals having access to the facility, closely monitored variable temperature within it, no direct sun or dust and a constant relative humidity we are providing real added-value services for our customers,” he adds.

The new facility also operates to full ISO 9001 and AS9210 accreditations with all B&H staff trained to perform receipt and despatch inspections in line with customer and regulatory requirements ensuring compliance standards are not compromised.
