Awery Wins Fifth IATA ONE Record Hackathon

[ May 19, 2026   //   ]

Awery Aviation Software has won the International Air Transport Association ONE Record Hackathon for the fifth time, developing a real-time cargo monitoring solution during the 48-hour event in Hong Kong.

The winning platform, called Voyager, was designed to integrate with the ONE Record API and provide real-time visibility into shipment milestones across air cargo operations.

According to Awery, the system uses QR-based acceptance checks to capture milestones including Freight on Hand, Shipment Accepted for Carriage and Ready for Carriage, while integrating direct-message alerts for forwarders, drivers, airlines and shippers.

The company said the platform was developed to address operational delays caused by fragmented data across airlines, ground handlers and freight forwarders.

“Winning the hackathon for the fifth time shows how quickly working solutions can be built when standards such as ONE Record are applied in practice,” said Vitaly Smilianets, founder and chief executive officer of Awery.

The solution also incorporates artificial intelligence and weather forecasting data to identify potential temperature-related cargo risks before shipment disruption occurs.

The IATA ONE Record Hackathon brings together developers and cargo industry stakeholders to build applications using the ONE Record data-sharing standard, which aims to improve interoperability and real-time information exchange across the air cargo supply chain.

Awery said its next step will be development of an open-source PHP ONE Record server intended to support broader industry adoption and simplify integration for operators and technology providers.
