Alaska Volcano Eruption

Ash clouds from an Alaska volcano that has erupted 36 times since mid-December, 2016 are now threatening jets flying between Asia and North America. Bogoslof Volcano’s biggest eruption occurred on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, producing ash clouds rising above 20,000 feet.
Warnings have been issued to airlines and a major U.S. fishing port in the Aleutian Islands. The Bogoslof Island volcano is located 850 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska. The volcano could erupt again at any time.
