AGI Opens Building 22 at JFK

[ March 23, 2022   //   ]

AGI opened its newest location at JFK on March 1. Building 22 has been in the JFK market for nearly 25 years, first opened by United Cargo in 1997. Working with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, AGI took possession of the building in late fall and began preparing it for occupancy.
Building 22 is the third facility at JFK, joining Building 21 operated on behalf of Delta Cargo and Building 71.
“Building 22’s launch customers are Cargolux Airlines and Turkish Cargo, the latter of whom begins operations March 15th,” shares Warren Jones, AGI’s Vice President for Business Development.
The 82,000 square foot building boasts three levels of racking for imports after arrival. AGI also is providing export screening in the building through its canine partner, Global K9 Protection Group.
AGI handled a variety of commodities including humanitarian relief bound for the nearly 2 million refugees who have fled Russia’s unprovoked war on Ukraine.
In January, AGI also opened a new location at Rickenbacker Airport in Columbus, Ohio. The 46,000 square foot, eight-door, one-ramp facility in LCK is located just minutes from LCK’s ramp.
