AAL Shipping Achieves ISO 27001 Certification

[ May 11, 2026   //   ]

AAL Shipping has obtained ISO 27001 certification, strengthening its information security capabilities as part of a broader integrated management system covering quality, safety, environmental and energy standards.

The certification, announced this week, aligns with AAL’s existing ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 accreditations, extending oversight beyond vessel operations and environmental performance to include protection of digital and project data.

“Achieving ISO 27001 alongside our existing ISO certifications underscores our holistic approach to operational excellence,” said Mohammad Fadzil, QHSE manager at AAL Shipping.

The move reflects growing emphasis on cybersecurity in project cargo and heavy-lift logistics, where sensitive engineering data, cargo specifications and customer information are increasingly handled through digital platforms.

AAL said the certification ensures information security is embedded across operational processes, supporting customers managing complex, high-value cargo movements.

The company said the expanded framework reinforces its position as a long-term partner for project logistics as regulatory scrutiny and digitalization increase across global supply chains.
