GEODIS Opens Philippines Forwarding Office

GEODIS has opened its first company-owned freight forwarding office in the Philippines, replacing an agent model as the logistics provider expands its presence in a market attracting increased manufacturing and technology investment.

The Manila office will provide air and ocean freight forwarding, project logistics and supply chain optimization services, giving Philippine customers direct access to GEODIS’s international network. The company said establishing its own operation will provide greater control over local service and end-to-end supply chain visibility.

The expansion comes amid strong investment growth in the Philippines. The Philippine Economic Zone Authority approved PHP151.9 billion in new and expansion projects during the first seven months of 2026, up 67 percent from a year earlier. Those projects are expected to generate US$5.9 billion in exports, primarily from manufacturing.

Philippine external trade in goods reached a record US$218.68 billion in 2025, an increase of 8.9 percent.

“The Philippines is becoming an increasingly important market for high-value manufacturing and technology supply chains,” said Eric Martin-Neuville, regional president and CEO, Asia Pacific and Middle East at GEODIS. He said moving from an agent arrangement to a company-owned operation gives GEODIS greater control over service as customers expand in the market.

GEODIS operates in nearly 170 countries with 48,000 employees and generated €10.6 billion in revenue in 2025. The company is owned by Group SNCF.
