Port Pascagoula Names Tillotson Port Director

The Jackson County Port Authority Board of Commissioners has named Charles David Tillotson port director of Port Pascagoula. He will begin serving in the position Aug. 24.

Tillotson brings more than 30 years of experience in maritime operations, port business development, logistics and commercial management. His career has included positions with public ports, private terminal operators and military logistics organizations.

Most recently, Tillotson served as executive director and CEO of Louisiana Gateway Port in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, from December 2022 through January 2026. He previously held leadership positions with Port Manatee, Carver Cos., Diversified Port Holdings, Metro Ports and Marine Terminals Corp./Ports America.

His cargo experience includes breakbulk, dry and liquid bulk, containers and roll-on/roll-off operations.

“His extensive maritime experience will complement the work already underway and support the port’s continued growth and development,” said Greg Williams, president of the Jackson County Port Authority Board of Commissioners.

Tillotson is a U.S. Navy veteran and has held civilian military logistics positions supporting marine and breakbulk cargo operations. He holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in management from Saint Mary’s College of California.
