Cargo iQ Reshapes Board to Drive Standards

Cargo iQ has restructured its board to give airlines, freight forwarders and ground handling companies more balanced representation as it pushes wider adoption of its air cargo quality standards across the supply chain.

Three new members joined the board: Jeanne-Mari Reardon, vice president air product EMEA at CRANE Worldwide Logistics; Paul Glaser, managing director Austria at Cargomind; and Calvin Hui, head of cargo customer experience and service excellence at Cathay Cargo. Four incumbent members were re-elected to new two-year terms.

The board’s immediate priorities include completing projects launched over the past two years, expanding adoption of Cargo iQ’s Tiers Implementation System, supporting a data-driven audit program introduced April 1, and advancing digital initiatives including ONE Record integration, API-based data sharing, Road Feeder Services business cases and Station Route Maps.

Hendrik Leyssens, Cargo iQ board chair and vice president process, planning and project delivery at Emirates, said the initiatives are intended to accelerate implementation of common quality standards across the membership. The board oversees projects aimed at improving shipment quality, operational consistency and digital information sharing throughout the air cargo supply chain.
