GEODIS Adds Electric Delivery Fleet in Vietnam

GEODIS has introduced electric delivery vehicles for last-mile operations in Vietnam, becoming one of the first logistics providers to deploy electric-powered urban distribution in the country.

The initiative supports business-to-business and business-to-consumer deliveries for luxury and retail customers in Ho Chi Minh City using VinFast EC Van 2026 electric vehicles. GEODIS said the deployment is part of its broader strategy to decarbonize logistics operations while supporting Vietnam’s transition to lower-emission transportation.

“Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important consideration in supply chain decisions, but customers also expect reliability, flexibility and speed,” Chandler So, managing director of GEODIS Vietnam, said in a statement. “Our focus is on demonstrating that electric vehicles can deliver on all of these requirements in a real-world urban environment.”

Purpose-built for urban deliveries, the compact electric vans are designed to improve maneuverability on congested city streets while reducing noise and eliminating tailpipe emissions.

GEODIS said it is working with vehicle manufacturers and infrastructure partners in Vietnam to support fleet reliability and future expansion. The company plans to evaluate opportunities to increase its electric vehicle fleet and introduce additional lower-carbon logistics initiatives as the market develops.

The deployment is part of GEODIS’s broader sustainability program across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, where the company is expanding the use of electric and biodiesel vehicles for first- and last-mile transportation where operationally feasible.
