GEODIS Adds Malherbe to Bolster Road Freight

[ April 1, 2026   //   ]

Global logistics provider GEODIS has completed its acquisition of Transports Malherbe after receiving regulatory approval, strengthening its position in France’s road freight market.

The deal expands GEODIS’s capabilities in full truckload and less-than-truckload transport, particularly in the agri-food and retail sectors where Malherbe has an established presence. The combined operations bring GEODIS’s revenue in the segment to nearly 2 billion euros.

The acquisition reinforces GEODIS’s domestic network and its ability to serve customers across France, the company said in a statement.

“The acquisition of Transports Malherbe is fully in line with our strategy to develop and strengthen our offering in the French market,” said CEO Marie-Christine Lombard. “It enables us to increase our presence in key sectors such as agri-food and retail.”

Malherbe’s operations will be integrated into GEODIS’s European Road Network business. In France, transport activities will be overseen by Noël Samson, reporting to Marc Vollet.

Founded in 1956, Malherbe operates a network of 40 agencies and a fleet of nearly 1,500 trucks, with more than 3,000 employees nationwide.

GEODIS said the transaction will enhance operational synergies and support its growth ambitions in the French transport market.

GEODIS operates across four lines of business: global freight forwarding, global contract logistics, distribution and express transport, and European road network.
