IPC Tech, ESG Hires Expand Advisory Network
[ March 25, 2026 // Gary Burrows ]Independent Port Consultants has expanded its advisory network with two senior appointments to support growing demand for digitalization and sustainability guidance in the ports sector.
Kevin Martin joins as senior port technology consultant in Dubai, bringing more than 30 years of experience in operational transformation, automation and digital strategy. Derek McGlashan has joined to strengthen the firm’s ESG advisory capability, helping clients integrate sustainability into long-term business planning.
IPC said the hires enhance its ability to guide port operators, investors and regulators on technology adoption, operational optimization, and ESG-driven efficiency improvements.
“Understanding operational needs is critical for digitalization projects,” Martin said, while McGlashan noted that ESG is increasingly seen as a driver of value and resilience rather than a compliance cost.
The consultancy’s network now spans the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, and further expansions are expected later this year.
