Redwood Logistics Buys EELCO for US-Mexico

[ March 5, 2026   //   ]

Redwood Logistics has acquired EELCO, a Laredo, Texas-based customs brokerage and warehousing provider, expanding its cross-border capabilities along the U.S.-Mexico trade corridor. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Redwood Logistics said the acquisition adds licensed customs brokerage services, Foreign-Trade Zone warehousing and additional border operations expertise to its Redwood Mexico unit, which manages cross-border freight between the United States and Mexico.

EELCO, which has operated for more than 30 years at the U.S.-Mexico border, runs a 250,000-square-foot warehouse in Laredo and a sister operation in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. The company also provides dedicated operations for customers at other locations.

Redwood Mexico oversees more than 40,000 cross-border shipments annually through a network of more than 300 carrier partners, according to the company.

Chief Executive Mark Yeager said the deal is intended to strengthen Redwood’s ability to manage end-to-end supply chain services as companies adjust sourcing strategies and shift more manufacturing closer to the U.S. market.

Jordan Dewart, president of Redwood Mexico, said growing investment in Mexican manufacturing has increased demand for cross-border logistics services in both directions.

By integrating EELCO’s licensed customs brokers and Foreign-Trade Zone operations into its broader logistics platform, Redwood said it aims to provide customers with a single provider handling freight movement, customs compliance, documentation and shipment visibility.

Eduardo Lozano, CEO of EELCO, said the company’s existing port relationships and brokerage expertise will continue under Redwood’s ownership.

Chicago-based Redwood describes itself as a fourth-party logistics provider, or 4PL, coordinating transportation, technology and supply chain services for shippers across North America.
