Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow (VDTM), a business unit of Volga-Dnepr Group, has completed the certification of a line maintenance station in Liege, Belgium, for aircraft registered in Bermuda. As one of the largest Russian MRO providers, it is now able to carry out scheduled line maintenance for B737-300/400/500, B747-400 and B747-8 aircraft. Approved scope of work includes daily maintenance and defect elimination.
“The set-up of the line maintenance station in Liege is a huge step forward for us because it makes accessible the European maintenance market for B737-300/400/500, B747-400 and B747-8 aircraft. Our employees managed to accomplish the whole certification process in a record-breaking five months, half of which was spent on the preparation and provision of facilities with the necessary equipment. We intend to expand a range of services with a focus on quality and timely fulfillment of commitments,” said Pavel Tereschenkov, VDTM General Director.
At present, VDTM is carrying out the maintenance of aircraft of AirBridgeCargo Airlines, one of the largest cargo carriers in the world, which is a part of Volga-Dnepr Group and operates a fleet of 18 B747 freighters. In the near future, the station will also start providing MRO services for Atran Airlines’ B737s.
The company is willing to develop a range of services at the line maintenance station in Liege, including organization of engine washing for the mentioned aircraft types, as well as to facilitate cooperation with other airline partners.
Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow is a provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for Russian- and Western-built aircraft. This business was set up in 2008 on the basis of existing and new MRO stations to provide the centralization and coordination of aircraft MRO activities within the Group and improve quality of service. In Russia, Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow provides services in three cities – Moscow (Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo Airports), Krasnoyarsk (Yemelyanovo Airport) and Krasnodar (Pashkovsky Airport). Besides, the company is introduced to the European market by the line maintenance station in Liege.
All stations are certified MRO bases providing maintenance services for Boeing 747, Boeing 737, Airbus A320 and Sukhoi Super Jet aircraft types. A workshop for aircraft interior and loading equipment maintenance has been created and is now developing. Maximum business flexibility, wide range of services, process automatization and vast network of maintenance stations make VDTM an attractive MRO provider.
